She has taking a real liking to El and they actually finish the book with them getting it on in the sky, engulfed in divine flames I thought the first two books were great; tightly wound stories that were easy to follow.

Watch as he repeatedly pleads, “Mystra, aid me This book could have been short and sweet without the confusion.

The characters felt flat, especially the main character who goes on through multiple books to have many an adventure. I’ve always liked Elminster even if he is the ultimate Gary-Stu. One who’s mysterious and powerful, who pops in when he’s needed. The entangled stories are well planned in this book.

From a dark and dusty tomb, Elminster emerges, seeking the guidance of Mystra, and finds only silence. It felt like someone ponderously reading a book to me instead of someone performing a story. Whatever he decides, the Realms will be forever changed…. There were a few good moments in the book, but overall Ed green one has done much better with some of his other writings.

Then they go to the village and kill everyone else. And now, as readers, we are really sad for the young shepard. Literally, the last few pages. Of course it isn’t a literary masterpiece. Lots of time ha Ho there, wanderer, stay thy course a moment to indulge an old man.

But Elminster survives in the form of magical ash, and with the help of his scion, a fop who is growing into a true nobleman, and his longtime companion Storm, he still has a chance to counter Manshoon’s insidious plots. Elminster: The Making of a Mage

Would you be willing to try another book from Ed Greenwood? However, I hated Elminster so much that I created a Daleland called Darkdale that existed in a cavern underneath Shadowdale where Elminster lives and made it a complete opposite of Shadowdale, right down to the powerful, evil, undead sorcerer that lived there.

Took me long enough. The One True Spell was a woman, and her name was Mystra – and her kisses were wonderful. I first read this book several years ago and liked it. Looking forward to more adventures of Elminster.
