The core audience for this book are women, as women are the ones who tend to delve deeply into these aspects. I rated it three stars but I didn’t actually “like” the book; I liked the ideas in it.
And, I’ll agree with the reviewer that the book is written for women. If you’re expecting arxhetypes explanation on various personality types, skip this. I I didn’t care too much for this book. I’m sure Caroline Myss is one smart cookie, and she clearly knows her stuff For me The Wisdom of the Enneagram: This is the basis for the entire self-help industry, and probably explains why I have an innate distrust of self-help, even in its Christian guises.
The way it is layed out helped me to get to know the archetypes. There’s been a lot of criticism for Myss calling “fashionista” a modern archetype.

Can I change archetypes or do I need to embrace a ‘true’ archetype to ‘find my destiny’? Also it seems like an Advertisement for their website. With a focus on archetypes for women, I find this a quick and easy read to tap into what drives you. This is not the God of the Bible, although it is what many churches, ancient and modern, have preached.
